Can I open an account as a US Person?

Unfortunately, the American FATCA rules don't allow us to open or maintain an account for a "US person".

Among other things, you're considered a US person if you:

  • hold US citizenship or a US passport
  • have a green card
  • live in the United States
  • were born in the United States
  • have a US residential or mailing address, including a "care of" address
  • have a US telephone number

If you've renounced your US citizenship, you can open an account. In that case, you'll need to send us proof of the renunciation.
