How long does a withdrawal take?

Once started, withdrawals typically take 3 to 5 business days to reach your bank account. In some cases, it can take up to 6 business days. Here's what happens:

  • Pending investments settle first: We can't start a withdrawal while you have pending investments. So if you withdraw while an investment is still ongoing, for instance your monthly contribution, we wait until that investment is settled first.
  • Order processing (up to 1 business day): Sell orders are processed at 10:00 CET on business days. Orders placed before 10:00 are processed the same day. Orders placed after 10:00 are processed the next business day.
  • Fund execution (up to 1 business day): The fund providers execute the sell order. Depending on the fund, this happens on the same day or the next business day.
  • Settlement (2 business days): The trade is confirmed and settled within 2 business days after execution.
  • Bank transfer (up to 2 business days): Once settled, the proceeds are transferred to your bank account. It can sometimes take longer depending on the receiving bank, as this is outside of our control.

Note: public holidays can delay the process because they affect when fund providers execute orders. This includes foreign holidays like Chinese New Year, because the stocks within the funds are traded on many different exchanges throughout the world. A withdrawal doesn't complete until all funds in the portfolio have been sold and settled, so one delayed fund can hold up the entire withdrawal.

At what price are my assets sold?

When you request a withdrawal, your sell order is processed at 10:00 CET on the same business day (if placed before 10:00) or the next business day (if placed after 10:00). Depending on the fund, your assets are sold at the share price of that day, or the following business day.
